Adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con diabetes mellitus

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue describir la adherencia a tratamiento de la Diabetes Mellitus y los factores que intervienen en el incumplimiento del mismo El incumplimiento de la terapia farmacológica es la causa principal del fracaso de diversos tratamientos, incluyendo a la diabetes. El objetivo de este artículo fue identificar los factores que inciden en la adherencia terapéutica en personas con Diabetes Mellitus. Se ha encontrado que esta falta de adherencia terapéutica conlleva a costos altos para el sistema sanitario, problemas en la calidad de vida de los pacientes, y sobre todo, favorece a que no se obtengan resultados clínicos positivos. Actualmente, el incumplimiento de la terapia farmacológica es la causa principal del fracaso de diversos tratamientos, incluyendo a la diabetes. Esta falta de adherencia terapéutica conlleva a costos altos para el sistema sanitario, problemas en la calidad de vida de los pacientes, y sobre todo, favorece a que no se obtengan resultados clínicos positivos.
