Abstract

Este ensayo analiza y evaluia las relaciones internacionales de Chile bajo el gobierno militar, tomando como punto de referencia las experiencias de los principales gobieros civiles del periodo segunda guerra mundial1973. La tesis central del trabajo es que el gobierno militar chileno, transcuridos ya ocho afios desde su inicio, se halla en una situacion de aislamiento 1 politico, pero no en una posici6n de aislamiento econ6mico. Sobre la base de cuatro elementos explicativos fundamentales de las relaciones exteriores de Chile (el proyecto interno dominante, los estilos de diplomacia, el contexto internacional y la condici6n de dependencia trasnacio-
