Abstract

La salud pública y la odontología han encontrado en la innovación tecnológica una herramienta clave para mejorar la prevención, el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de diversas patologías. En el ámbito de la salud mental, las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC) han demostrado ser útiles en la detección temprana de la depresión asociada al consumo de sustancias psicoactivas, facilitando el acceso a herramientas de evaluación y monitoreo en poblaciones vulnerables. Por otro lado, en odontología, la introducción de la tecnología CAD-CAM ha permitido la fabricación de coronas dentales con mayor precisión y resistencia en comparación con los métodos convencionales. Este trabajo explora el impacto de las TIC en el screening de la depresión y compara la resistencia a la fractura de coronas dentales fabricadas con tecnología CAD-CAM y métodos análogos.
