Dermatoglifia dactilar, somatotipo y consumo de oxígeno en atletas de pentatlón militar de la Escuela Militar de Cadetes “General José María Córdova”

Abstract

Con el objeto de establecer características morfológicas, funcionales y genéticas que sirvan de criterio para la selección de nuevas generaciones de atletas para el pentatlón militar, fueron valorados 6 deportistas masculinos miembros de la Selección Colombia que participaron en el 56º Campeonato Mundial de Pentatlón Militar, realizado en el año 2009 en Munich, Alemania, y pertenecientes a la Escuela Militar de Cadetes “General José María Córdova”. n el estudio se evaluaron variables morfológicas, se calcularon los valores del somatotipo (Carter, 1996), la potencia de los miembros inferiores se estableció mediante saltos verticales con y sin impulso de brazos, la capacidad funcional se determinó mediante trabajo en banda para lo cual se empleó el protocolo modificado de Bruce y el analizador de gases expirados marca Cortex Metalyzer 3B. En la recolección y análisis de los dibujos dactilares se utilizó el protocolo de Cummins y Midlo (1942). La edad promedio de los participantes fue de 23,7±3,2 años. Los valores para la talla fueron de 173,7±8,8 cm, el somatotipo predominante se clasificó como Meso-ectomórfico, el VO2Máx alcanzó 63,3 ± 3,8 ml/min/kg; la dermatoglifia dactilar se caracterizó en relación con los indicadores cuantitativos por una mayor presencia de presillas 8,33±1,5, seguida por los verticilos 1,50±1,6 y poca presencia de arcos. En lo que respecta a indicadores cualitativos, se encontraron los siguientes valores: D10=11,3 ± 1,86; SCTL=131 ± 48,8, con fórmulas digitales de 10L=16,7%; AL=16,7%; LW=66,7%.
