Abstract

(0,01). This study aimed to identify positive thinking and its correlation with the dimensions of mental health among female students at the Faculty of Education. The research was administered to a sample consisting of 201 female students at the Faculty of Education, PrincessNouraUniversity during the academic year 1439-1440. The positive thinking scale (developed by Abdul Sattar Ibrahim, 2008); and the mental health scale (developed by Abdulmutallab Al Quraiti and Abdulaziz Al-Shakhs, 1998) were administered. The statistical methods, namely Pearson correlation coefficient, and t-test were administered to reveal the differences between the groups and fulfill the study purpose. The results obtained indicated that the study sample had a high degree of positive thinking, with an arithmetic mean of 77.16, and a moderate level of mental health as the mean was 64.54. The study also revealed a positive correlation between both positive thinking and mental health at 0.01 level.
