Abstract

To achieve the set research goal, the following tasks are formulated: 1) the study of the architectural and cultural identity of the design of residential complexes in St. Petersburg, to identify the problem. 2) to analyze the implemented projects of multi-storey buildings, as a harmonious fit into the architecture of St. Petersburg. 3) to make a qualitative analysis of the implemented medium-rise projects in the historical parts of St. Petersburg. 4) find relevant solutions to preserve the historical appearance and spectacular aesthetic beauty of the city of St. Petersburg, which will improve the quality of life of the population. In this article, the construction of an average number of floors is proposed as a solution to the functional, harmonious and aesthetic problems of the urban environment [3]. Lets take a closer look at what type and classification of buildings will not spoil the appearance of the city, improve the density of buildings and have a positive impact on the social, infrastructural, environmental and economic aspects of the city.
