Abstract

Com a finalidade de aumentar a produtividade, reduzir desperdícios e custos, a indústria da construção civil tem buscado novos métodos construtivos que substituam os sistemas tradicionalmente utilizados. Nesse contexto, o sistema com Moldes Isolantes para Concreto (Insulating Concrete Forms - ICF) surge como uma alternativa a ser explorada, consistindo em uma estrutura que incorpora fôrmas feitas de poliestireno expandido (EPS), que após sua montagem, são preenchidas com concreto armado. Sendo assim, o objetivo desta pesquisa é comparar técnica e financeiramente o sistema construtivo em ICF, em relação aos sistemas equivalentes convencionais de alvenaria de vedação com estrutura de concreto armado e alvenaria estrutural. Os critérios técnicos avaliados foram o de desempenho térmico pelo método simplificado segundo a NBR 15.575 e o de racionalização dos processos de produção (filosofia Lean Construction) enquanto no orçamentário determinou-se os custos para a produção dos sistemas. O sistema ICF apresentou os menores índices de transmitância térmica, proporcionando a melhor proteção do ambiente interno em relação às mudanças externas de temperatura. Além disso, exibiu maior eficácia da produção no canteiro de obra e no uso dos princípios da Lean Construction. Em termos de custos, a alvenaria estrutural se apresentou como o mais vantajoso, seguido pelo sistema ICF. Visando atender às necessidades do construtor brasileiro que busca aliar menores custos com maiores vantagens construtivas, concluiu-se que a alvenaria estrutural apresenta melhor relação custo-benefício, seguida do sistema ICF e da alvenaria convencional.
