Entendendo a cultura como esfera social determinada que pode ser estudada em sua singularidade, abordamos, neste artigo, um panorama das interfaces entre cultura, modernidade e contemporaneidade. Para tanto, a mercantilização, a tecnologização e a globalização da cultura, bem como a culturalização da política e da mercadoria são processos aqui analisados. ABSTRACT Understanding culture as a certain social sphere which can be studied in its singularity, the present paper presents a panorama of interfaces between culture, modernity and contemporaneity. In order to trigger each of these axes, we analyze the processes of mercanthilization, technologization and the globalization of culture, as well as the culturization of politics and merchandise.
