Se estudian las variaciones del quimismo del arroyo durante las crecidas en una pequeña cuenca de encinar montano en el macizo del Montseny (Barcelona). Los resultados obtenidos en dos precipitaciones de diferente intensidad acaecidas en condiciones antecedentes secas se discuten en términos de los mecanismos de la escorrentía y del origen de los iones. Conductívidad, pH, HC03, Ca2+, Na+ y Mg2+ manifiestan efecto de dilución mientras que K y N03 generalmente aumentan con el caudal, a veces de modo espectacular. Sulfato y Cl- aumentan de forma sustancial y sostenida durante las crecidas . . Un análisis de componentes principales simplifica la representación de los datos.
