Water is an essential element in Greek culture and also in its collective imagination. This article studies this element from a mythological perspective, focusing on the characteristics attributed to water in the Greek imagination and on the main divinities associated with hydrographic elements. The study highlights the symbolic richness of water and helps to understand how the Greeks understood the world.
