Caminhabilidade no campus da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora

Abstract

Este artículo pretende analizar la calidad de la transitabilidad a pie en la meseta de la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad Federal de Juiz de Fora (UFJF) según el Índice de Caminabilidad (Icam2.0) desarrollado por el Instituto de Políticas de Transporte y Desarrollo (ITDP). La mejora de la transitabilidad a pie en este campus podría ayudar a reducir el impacto del tráfico generado por la institución, que es un importante generador de tráfico y uno de los principales puntos de acceso a la región oeste de la ciudad. Este análisis constató que la tipología de los campus federales de la primera fase de expansión de la enseñanza superior en Brasil -entre 1960 y 1970- es desfavorable a la transitabilidad a pie y sugiere propuestas para reducir la dependencia del vehículo motorizado individual y fomentar la movilidad activa en la zona analizada.
