Abstract

O Brasil, país que em 2024 apresentava aproximadamente 213 milhões de habitantes (IBGE, 2024), é referência mundial em transplantes. De acordo com o Ministério da Saúde, a nação brasileira possui o maior programa público de transplante de órgãos, tecidos e células do mundo, que é garantido à população por meio do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), responsável pelo financiamento de cerca de 95% dos transplantes no País (Soares et al., 2020). Nesse sentido, há o Sistema Nacional de Transplantes (SNT), que é responsável por regulamentação, controle e monitoramento das doações e transplantes realizados no Brasil. Essa plataforma do Ministério da Saúde realiza ações desde gestão política até acompanhamento dos pacientes transplantados. Contudo, apesar do grande número de cirurgias realizadas, a lista de espera para receber um órgão ainda é grande. Em 2020, de acordo com o Registro Brasileiro de Transplantes (RBT),
