Abstract

Las negociaciones de paz en La Habana entre el Gobierno Nacional de Colombia y las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia - Ejército del Pueblo (FARC-EP) se constituyó en uno de los hechos más significativos de la historia política de Colombia en los últimos cien años. Fue de alguna manera el punto de cierre a una de las formas de violencia que ha padecido este país. Examinar esas formas violentas, el proceso de negociación y lo que ha venido después es nuestra obligación como académicos. En este examen emergen; de un lado, la desigualdad entre los distintos sectores sociales y el ejercicio hegemónico del poder por parte de las élites dominantes, como algunas de las causas; y de otro, el conflicto armado con su secuela de muertos y desplazados como la consecuencia casi obvia de lo anterior. Ser capaces de entender lo que pasa, tal vez no sea la solución al conflicto, pero si es el comienzo para entender los procesos históricos y sociales que han ocurrido, que están sucediendo y que muy probablemente van a darse en un futuro más o menos inmediato.
