LA INCLUSIÓN DE PERSONAS CON DISCAPACIDAD EN LA MODALIDAD DEPORTIVA DEL SALVAMENTO Y SOCORRISMO

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to know the opinion of athletes, referees and lifesaving sport technicians about the inclusive participation of people with disabilities in this sport and in the different federative bodies. To achieve this objective, an open questionnaire was carried out with 6 athletes, 6 lifesaving sports technicians and 6 lifesaving referees. The results of this research show that the majority of people consulted agree with the inclusive participation of people with disabilities in the lifesaving sport, as well in the other federative bodies. However, they consider that this participation may be hindered by the lack of adapted facilities and materials. In short, it is recommended to prepare a report that identifies and offers solutions to the difficulties or barriers detected. Therefore, it is proposed to improve the training of all people who work and participate in the development and promotion of lifesaving sport.
