Abstract

W artykule przedstawiono genezę, okoliczności i historię powstania Konferencji Dyrektorów Bibliotek Szkół Wyższych (przemianowanej na Konferencję Dyrektorów Bibliotek Akademickich Szkół Polskich – KDBASP). Analizie poddano archiwalne dokumenty, m.in. korespondencję między instytucjami oraz osobami mającymi wpływ na zainicjowanie idei utworzenia organizacji bibliotek akademickich, a przede wszystkim poufny raport IBD, relacjonujący realizację projektu TRAIL, w ramach którego powstała koncepcja powołania zrzeszenia. Zaprezentowano również najistotniejsze działania KDBASP w 25-leciu jego istnienia.
