A "Partilha da África" pela imprensa teuto-brasileira

Abstract

Palavras-chave: Partilha da África, Jornais em Língua Alemã, Colonialismo Alemão ABSTRACT: This article will discuss the "Scramble for Africa" as depicted by German newspapers in the south of Brazil. After the Berlin Conference (1884-85), many of these German-Brazilian newspapers heavily began to focus on the theme of colonialism in Africa. This article will use a few stories taken from these newspapers, which reveal to be important sources in further understanding the History of Africa, particularly of that related to the colonial expansion of the Second Reich Empire. Keywords: Scramble for Africa, German-Brazilian Newspapers, German Colonialism
