Fitogeografia e regeneração natural em florestas urbanas de São Cristóvão/SE-Brasil

Abstract

O processo de expansão urbana de Aracaju, capital do Estado de Sergipe, Brasil, se configura um proceso histórico representante da negação da questão ambiental em desrespeito à conservação da dinâmica ecossistêmica da zona costeira. O presente estudo avalia a dinâmica fitogeográfica de dois setores de florestas urbanas localizadas no entorno do Campus São Cristóvão da Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS). Foram realizados: os levantamentos de dados de geoprocessamento nos permitiram a montagem de um banco de dados geográficos para: o planejamento dos trabalhos de campo, a análise fitogeográfica e a elaboração cartográfica (Carta de vetores de pressão antrópica); quatro trabalhos de campo para aplicação de ficha de indicadores ambientais bióticos e produção dos perfis de vegetação; e em seguida, outros três trabalhos de campo a fim de coletar indicadores ambientais abióticos dos setores 1 e 2 e na área externa, dentro da UFS. Através dos indicadores analisados concluiu-se que o setor 1 se encontra no estágio inicial e o setor 2 no estágio médio de regeneração natural. Observa-se que o aumento dos vetores de pressão (construção de estradas, adensamento urbano, etc.) interferem nos indicadores ambientais (bióticos e abióticos) comprometendo a vegetação. A comparação dos fatores fitogeográficos estudados permite concluir que estes se comportaram de acordo com o padrão prescrito na literatura aos seus respectivos estágios de regeneração natural.
