Multi-constellation receivers will become popularity since the current satellite navigation systems are transforming from the solo GPS to multi GNSS constellations. The traditional fast acquisition algorithms in time domain and frequency domain for signal of special satellite system have their own shortages. So it cannot process multi-constella-tion signals which modulation and code length are different. A universal fast acquisition algorithm implemented in multi-constellation receiver will be introduced. It has been proved that the algorithm has practical value, and is compatible on acquiring different types of satellite signals, such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and COMPASS, etc.
