When you become aware that a child you are working with has some form of speech and/or language problem, it can be a daunting feeling. If your suspicions are from your own observations, rather than information passed on by someone else, they can range from the instinctive awareness of an alarm bell ringing gently, a gut feeling, to much more obvious evidence.
