
Cestodes (tapeworms), as a group of parasites, have gained more prominence in recent years due primarily to improved abattoir feedback to fat stock producers on rejections. The zoonotic potential of some of this group adds to their importance. The aim of this article is to enable practising veterinary surgeons to easily answer their clients' queries about these infections and advise on effective control plans.
