AbstractAt the Baptist Assembly in 2001 a seminar was arranged jointly by the Baptist Historical Society and the Doctrine and Worship Committee of the Baptist Union of Great Britain at the Baptist Assembly 2001 as part of the preparation for a Covenant Service on the Sunday evening, using material which was also being used widely in Baptist churches during 2001. The document giving the order of service for the act of covenanting included some background to what it all meant. The seminar was introduced by the Moderator of the Doctrine & Worship Committee, the Revd Dr Nigel G. Wright, with this paper.
