Abstract

Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) dienen dazu, den von Patienten subjektiv wahrgenommenen Gesundheitszustand im Verlauf oder nach einer Behandlung mess- und vergleichbar zu machen. Damit tragen sie zur Qualitätsverbesserung und mehr Patientenorientierung im Gesundheitswesen bei. PROMs haben weltweit großes Interesse bei Klinikern, Patienten und der Politik geweckt. Mehrere Länder haben sie in unterschiedlichem Umfang in ihr Gesundheitssystem integriert. In Deutschland haben einzelne Akteure die Anwendung von PROMs bereits angestoßen. Es handelt sich aber oft um singuläre Initiativen, die bisher keine formelle Verankerung im Gesundheitssystem erfahren haben. Die Studie „Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs): ein internationaler Vergleich“ zeigt anhand internationaler Beispiele Herausforderungen und Erfolgsstrategien für die Umsetzung von PROMs in Deutschland auf.
