Abstract

Es wird ein Algorithmus vorgestellt, der eine Triangularisierung eines gegebenen konvexen Polygons P erzeugt (dies ist ein Teilschritt für die Finite-Element-Triangularisierung eines komplexen polygonalen Bereichs). Im Inneren von P entsteht ein quasi-gleichmäßiges Dreiecksgitter der Größe h, die auf dem Rand von P liegenden Dreiecksseiten haben auf der i-ten Kante alle die Länge \(h_ 1\), wobei die \(h_ 1\) den Bedingungen h/\(\sqrt{2}\leq h_ 1\leq \sqrt{2}\) genügen sollen. Die zunächst ermittelte ``gültige'' Triangulierung wird mittels einer lokalen Optimierungsprozedur von \textit{C. L. Lawson} [Mathematical Software III, Proc. Symp., Madison 1977, 161-194 (1977; Zbl 0407.68033)] so abgeändert, daß eine bestimmte Winkelbedingung erfüllt ist (sog. Delaunay-Triangulierung). Die wesentlichen Teile des Algorithmus werden in einer PASCAL-ähnlichen Notation genau beschrieben. Es wird gezeigt, daß der Algorithmus das Gewünschte leistet, und zwar in einer Zeit, die linear in der Anzahl der Dreiecke ansteigt.
