Gordon Hockey, RCVS Registrar, comments: The alternative dispute resolution (ADR) trial, launched in November 2014, aims to resolve, through conciliation, those disputes and complaints that do not meet our threshold for serious professional misconduct. These are complaints that might otherwise ‘rumble on’ and cause considerable stress for both the vet and the client.
