Dydrogesterone (Duphaston-Crookes) is a progestagen which produces the effects of progesterone on the uterus, but has much weaker central effects than do other progestagens. Thus dydrogesterone does not raise the basal body temperature and only slightly inhibits the pituitary.1 We discussed the drug when it was introduced in 1962.2
