A Study on Workflow Technology for RP Application

Abstract

At present, the workflow technology has been widely used in manufacturing. The people rely more and more on the workflow management system (WfMS), at the same time, people have higher demand on the flexibility, stability, and interactive ability of WfMS. On Rapid Manufacturing (RM) field, there is still no systematic theoretical system in the aspect of the modeling measure in existence and the research on the workflow modeling theory is backward relatively. The paper aiming at the current situation of Rapid Prototyping (RP) industry, introduce the business process characteristics of RP enterprise firstly, methods of workflow modeling and model qualitative analysis are proposed. Combined with practical case, it constructs a time Petri-net model, verifies and analyzes the rationality. The study results of the thesis provides a certain scientific basis and theoretical reference for information process of RP enterprise, especially of process modeling and security, are of both theoretical and application value to further researches of business process management technology and can promote the RM information.
