The requirements and subsequent mechanization of the mission avionics of the US Navy's new fleet antisubmarine warfare helicopter, the SH-60F CV Inner Zone ASW Weapon System (CV HELO) are discussed. The overall system architecture is described, and its major functional elements are examined. These consist of five subsystems: tactical data and display, navigation, communication, sonar, and armament stores. Software and testing are briefly considered. >
