CONTROL ENGINEERING has become, in essence, the application of feedback theory to engineering problems. The subject is not restricted by the usual boundaries between the applied sciences and, at the introductory level discussed in this article, I believe the aim should be to present the subject almost without regard to the source of power or information used in the control system. To achieve this unified approach, elements or complete systems having similar responses may be made the subjects of laboratory experiments.
| citations This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
