Dispersive character of optical phonons in GaAlAs alloys from Raman scattering in superlattices

Abstract

Etude du caractere dispersif bien defini des phonons dans un cristal mixte de la famille III-V. La diffusion Raman dans des superreseaux a courte periode met en evidence plusieurs modes de vibration confines dans les couches de GaAlAs. Cette technique permet de placer des points experimentaux sur la courbe representant la dispersion des phonons, en accord avec les calculs par approximation du potentiel coherent qui tiennent compte du desordre et des effets du superreseau
