Abstract

THE JOINT COMMISSION on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) is committed to improving safety for patients in health care organizations. The mission of the JCAHO is to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of accreditation of health care organizations. The JCAHO has demonstrated its commitment to patient safety through the following actions:
