Not all engineering academics are totally au fait with current best practice in teaching, learning and assessment. Some are reluctant to apply this knowledge. The purpose of this paper is to present and discuss some simple approaches that have been used in an attempt to improve the learning experience for students, by educating fellow engineering academics. Practical lessons from this initiative are also discussed. (6 pages)
