The magnetic field of the radiation belts

Abstract

>The magnetic fields produced by various types of belts of trapped particles are shown graphically. The values of the parameters that determine the field were chosen to cover a wide range. By interpolating the diagrams the distortion of the earth's field can be approximately estimated for actually observed belts without a large amount of computation. (W.D.M.)
