CityGML in Simulationsumgebungen

Abstract

Die von CPA Systems GmbH (CPA) entwickelte Produktlinie Supportgis-Java (SGJ) verfugt uber eine Datenbanktechnologie, die die Verwaltung von objektorientierten Daten in objektrelationalen Datenbanken ermoglicht. Die Technologie wird unter anderem zur Verwaltung von 3D-Geodaten von zahlreichen Kommunen und offentlichen Verwaltungen erfolgreich eingesetzt. Seit einigen Jahren erweitert CPA in Kooperation mit dem Institut fur Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion der RWTH Aachen (MMI) die eigene GIS-Technologie fur Anwendungen im Simulationsumfeld. Die damit verbundenen Anforderungen an Zugriffs- und Fortfuhrungsperformance werden in der Simulationssoftware VEROSIM® des MMI erfolgreich umgesetzt. Daruber hinaus werden im Rahmen von Verbundprojekten wie Verteilte Integrierte Erprobungs Landschaft (VintEL) oder Virtueller Wald die Model-lierungsmoglichkeiten von simulationsrelevanten Daten in einer (SGJ-) Datenbank kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt. In diesem Beitrag wird ein erstes Konzept der Kombination von GIS- und Simulationswelten auf Basis einer zentralen 3D-Datenhaltung vorgestellt. Kernpunkt ist die Verwendung von ISO/OGC-Standards am Beispiel der City Geography Markup Language (CityGML). Daruber hinaus wird die Erweiterung zu einer vierdimensionalen und somit zeitabhangigen Datenbasis mit den einhergehenden Anforderungen an bestehende Standards diskutiert.
