The Hydrodynamical Interaction of Galaxies

Abstract

We present 3D hydrodynamical calculations on interacting/merging galaxies. We find that nearly head-on collisions of galaxies lead to new galaxy formation. The dissipative effect of gaseous component significantly affects on merging process of interacting galaxies
