
Competition litigation has been at the centre of the General Court’s jurisdiction since its creation. Yet it now solely constitutes a minority of the applications introduced. Even though the statistical importance of competition law has decreased in its overall workload, it is argued that, in view of the extent of the review it can exercise over the Commission’s decision in this field, the General Court remains the best-placed forum to deal with this type of litigation.
