
The phenomena discussed thus far refer only to single features present on the Earth’s surface. It is now time to consider the combined effect of the development of slopes and rivers. This leads to a theory of the development of drainage basins. Unfortunately, it will be found that this theory is not as well developed as the theories considered in the last two Chapters.
