Optical Fiber Communication Systems

Abstract

Extremely high bandwidth and frequency, existence of two polarization modes and usage of optical amplifiers are key features in long-haul digital optical fiber communication. Considering this, systems with various modulation formats, with direct and coherent detection are described.
