
Verilog-1995 provides two simple shift operators: The >> token represents a bitwise shift-right operation. The << token represents a bitwise shift-left operation. Both shift operators will shift the bits in the first operand the number of times indicated by the value in the second operand. The bits which are vacated by the shift are always zero filled.
