AbstractSome internal pressure (Pi) measurements on modification 1 and 2 of isotactic polybutene‐1 are reported. They confirm the solid‐solid transition at 65°C for form 2 and show Pi of 1, at room temperature, to be higher than that of both form 2 and the melt; the molten polymer has an internal pressure intermediate between form 1 and form 2.
