AbstractThe passage of solutions containing uranyl and thorium sulphate through columns of De‐Acidite FF strongly basic anion‐exchange resin results in the initial absorption of both metals as complex anions, followed by the qualitative displacement of thorium by uranium. Thorium can be recovered separately from uranium, using a second column of the same resin in series with the first.
