Abstract
Ionizing radiations can be used to destroy or to inhibit the growth of microorganism in founds. This can be done by either direct or indirect effects of ionizing radiations. The radiation sensitivity of any particular microorganisms is influence by such factors as species or strain of microorganism, stage of development (e.g. vegetative or spore), chemical composition of medium and temperature. Among the microorganism, bacteria are the most resistant to effect of radiation than yeast and mold. Furthermore, spore forming bacteria, and especially C. botulinum have found to have greater resistance to radiation than other bacteria. Also, radiation have found to have...
