THE FITNESS OF DROSOPHILA MELANOGASTER IN CONDITION OF ADDING MELANIN INTO FEED

Abstract

Flies were analyzed to study the effect of melanin on the fitness of Drosophila. They were cultivated on the nutritious environment with the addition of the preparation to determine their viability and fertility in standard and extreme (hunger, aging) conditions. The gained results showed the stress-protective and aging-protective action of melanin.

С целью изучения влияния меланина на приспособленность дрозофилы анализировали мух, культивированных на среде с добавлением препарата, определяя их плодовитость и жизнеспособность в стандартных и экстремальных (голодание, старение) условиях. Полученные результаты свидетельствуют о стресспротекторном и геропротекторном действии меланина.

З метою встановлення впливу меланіну на пристосованість дрозофіли аналізували мух, культивованих на середовищі з додаванням препарату, визначаючи плодючість і життєздатність особин в стандартних та екстремальних (голодування, старіння) умовах. Отримані результати свідчать про стреспротекторну та геропротекторну дію меланіну.
