Mathematical Club as a Means of Overcoming Difficulties in Studying Irrational Equations and Inequalities among High School Students: TEACHING METHODS OF MATHEMATICS AT SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY

Mathematical Club as a Means of Overcoming Difficulties in Studying Irrational Equations and Inequalities among High School Students: TEACHING METHODS OF MATHEMATICS AT SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article substantiates the feasibility of creating a mathematical club as a form of extracurricular activity for in-depth study of irrational equations and inequalities, improvement of students’ mathematical training, and enhancement of their performance in the National Multi-Subject Test and External Independent Testing. The article outlines the main principles on which the work of the club is based, presents the structure of a typical club session that meets didactic principles, develops key mathematical competencies, and facilitates a deep understanding of the content of irrational equations and inequalities. Practical recommendations are proposed for the effective functioning of a mathematical club in a general secondary education institution.
