THE VASCULAR TUNIC OFTHE EYE IN STREPTOZOTOCIN-INDUCED DIABETES MELLITUS

THE VASCULAR TUNIC OFTHE EYE IN STREPTOZOTOCIN-INDUCED DIABETES MELLITUS

Abstract

In experiments on albino rats the ultrastructural peculiarities of the vascular tunic of the eye of rats in health and experimental diabetes mellitus were studied. A consistant pattern of changes of the vascular tunic of the eye was disclosed by means of an electron microscope during the 4th and 8th weeks of the disease associated with the duration and severity of diabetes mellitus.
