Transformation of the foundations of distance learning in the conditions of today’s challenges

Abstract

This article analyses the current pedagogical conditions and peculiarities of introducing distance learning technology into the educational process of educational institutions in the context of today’s challenges, since distance learning is an integral part of the functioning of modern society and is not so much based on the use of previously acquired knowledge as on its transformation and generation of new ideas in the process of learning and production activities. Such a form of cooperation between a teacher and a pupil/student makes it possible to continue acquiring knowledge and competencies in Ukraine regardless of the current location of the participants in the educational process, including abroad; the organizational, pedagogical, and didactic conditions, as well as the peculiarities of the educational and methodological content of the distance learning resource, are listed and characterized; the importance of developing the emotional skills of participants in the educational process under the current conditions is outlined. Developed emotional intelligence comprehensively shapes the well-being of participants in the educational process both in the present and in the future, is helpful in learning, the ability to manage one’s own emotions and understand the emotions of others, building social relationships, demonstrating adaptability, forming systemic and critical thinking, promotes tolerance and empathy, empathy for oneself and others, and resilience. Psychological traumas experienced during the COVID-19 and post-covid periods and the imposed martial law have a negative impact on cognitive ability and the social and emotional component of individuals. The conditions under which all participants in the educational process live are specific and create a constant emotional burden. In addition, some students are forced to stay abroad. All these factors should be considered when organizing educational processes, including distance learning.

Проаналізовано сучасні педагогічні умови, особливості впровадження технології дистанційного навчання в освітній процес закладів освіти в умовах викликів сьогодення, оскільки дистанційне навчання є невід’ємним складником функціонування сучасного соціуму й ґрунтується як на використанні раніше набутих знань, так і на їх трансформації, генеруванні нових ідей у навчанні й виробничій діяльності. Перелічено та схарактеризовано організаційно-педагогічні й дидактичні умови, особливості навчально-методичного наповнення ресурсу дистанційного навчання; окреслено питання важливості розвитку емоційних навичок учасників освітнього процесу в нинішніх умовах. Розвинений емоційний інтелект є помічним у навчанні, здатності керувати власними емоціями й розуміти емоції інших, будувати соціальні стосунки, демонструвати адаптивність, мати системне і критичне мислення, проявляти толерантність й емпатію.
