The relevance. The paper addresses the issue of developing documentation support for the scheduling process as a key stage in the organization of the educational process, which is particularly relevant for higher education institutions with many students and academic staff. The schedule must consider formal criteria and personal needs of teachers and students, optimize the use of classroom resources, and ensure accessibility for individuals with special needs. The purpose of the research is to develop documentation support that enables the active implementation of new technologies for the automation and optimization of the creation of a high-quality, personalized academic schedule within a higher education institution. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were defined: analysis of input documentation, the study of the stages of schedule formation, the creation of informational process models, and the development of recommendations for improving the methodology. The methodology. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive approach to developing documentation support for academic scheduling in higher education institutions. The study employs elements of general scientific methods: systems analysis, process modeling, comparative analysis of existing solutions, and logical generalizations. The methodological framework aims to ensure the effective integration of the developed solutions into the university’s information system, considering modern requirements for accessibility, flexibility, and transparency of the educational process. The results. Functional and informational models were developed to describe the scheduling process, including its automation through integration into the “Schedule” information system. The study also analyzes existing approaches to academic process management and proposes updated solutions to ensure transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in schedule creation. The scientific novelty is creating methods and tools for automating personalized academic schedule generation. The practical significance. Implementing the proposed recommendations will improve the organization of the educational process, meet the needs of faculty and students, optimize resource use, and contribute to raising the institutional ranking. The conclusion. Recommendations were formulated as part of developing documentation support — a practical implementation of the scheduling support process in higher education institutions — and a preliminary draft of the “Regulations on the Academic Schedule” was developed. The creation and implementation of the “Regulations on the Academic Schedule” at Lviv Polytechnic National University is a key component in enhancing the scheduling process. The document regulates all stages of schedule creation, from data collection to its personalization. Upon its approval and compliance, it will ensure procedural standardization, simplify the work of administrative staff, and increase the overall efficiency of the educational process.
