
Introduction. The experience of the first months of the active phase of hostilities in 2022 showed that the path to victory requires the joint efforts of all segments of the population, so it is important to involve representatives of all sexes, religious denominations, ethnic groups, consolidate all Ukrainian society to effectively support the Armed Forces. Ukraine and increase the state's defense capabilities. Purpose. Despite the obvious successes and positive achievements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in early 2022, during the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, unfortunately, there were numerous forms of discrimination on the grounds of sex, to minimize and overcome this article. Methods. Methodological principles of research of socio-psychological aspects of combating gender discrimination in the Armed Forces of Ukraine are based on the provisions of critical social theory, formed on its basis of social philosophy, defining the general principles of subject-object and subject-subject interaction at the institutional level. As well as levels of social practice at this stage of its socio-historical and cultural-civilizational development of Ukraine. The interdisciplinary approach combined with the method of extrapolation of results allowed to focus considerable attention on generalization of experience and presentation of practical recommendations that link existing approaches to understanding the principle of gender equality in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and clarify the essential aspects of social interaction. Originality. Gender equality in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women; these are equal responsibility of the representatives of both sexes for the protection of our state, equal access to resources and information and, as a result, equal responsibilities and equal contribution to improving Ukraine's defense capabilities. Gender discrimination is any act that results in greater rights, opportunities, powers, privileges or rewards due to gender. Conclusion. The war Russia against Ukraine united the Ukrainian nation. It is important that this unification based on the principles of Equality and Justice. To protect our state, the Armed Forces of Ukraine need the effective participation of all members of the state and every genders, including the LGBT community - because on the battlefield are important motivation, experience and professionalism, and in the rear - devotion and sincere desire to help. Not the gender characteristics. The experience of the first months of 2022 in the war of Russia against Ukraine 2022 has shown that representatives of all sexes show personal courage and heroism. Therefore, representatives of all sexes deserve respect from the military. Social factors that negatively affect the manifestations of gender discrimination in Ukrainian society: A significant level of social tension in society, faced with the realities of full-scale invasion of the enemy army on the territory of our country. Rethinking and severing social ties, bipolar division of society into "own" and "others", although the latter category due to the mismatch of views on the essence of war could include close relatives or friends. Complication or inability to meet the basic social needs of society due to active hostilities or threats to human life and health. Insufficient level of social culture of the population, insignificant level of public awareness of progressive democratic values and ethical norms. Psychological factors that negatively affect the manifestations of gender discrimination in the Ukrainian army: Increased stress, performing tasks at the limit of physical and mental capabilities. Significant mental concentration caused by maximum attention on combat missions. A state of frustration that may be caused by an awareness of the risks and losses of performing military service. Ambivalent states, desire to take care of one's own family and perform official duties at the same time. Fatigue, difficult opportunities to ensure complete rest. To overcome gender discrimination in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June 2022, the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Chernyakhovskyi developed a “Guide to Combating Gender Discrimination in the Armed Forces of Ukraine”. The guide takes into account the experience of the current war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the challenges faced by servicemen in connection with the declaration of martial law. The publication is distributed to troops, institutions / organizations and educational institutions free of charge. The electronic version of the guide is available in the electronic library of NDUU.
Ґендерна рівність у Збройних Силах України - це рівні права і рівні можливості для чоловіків і жінок; це рівна відповідальність представників обох статей за захист нашої держави, рівний доступ до ресурсів та інформації і, як наслідок, - рівні обов'язки і рівний внесок в підвищення обороноздатності України. Досвід перших місяців активної фази бойових дій 2022 року продемонстрував, що шлях до перемоги вимагає об’єднання зусиль всіх верств населення, тому дуже важливо долучити до захисту держави представників всіх статей, релігійних конфесій, етнічних груп, консолідувати все українське суспільство задля ефективної підтримки Збройних Сил України та підвищення обороноздатності держави. Проте, незважаючи на явні успіхи та позитивні здобутки Збройних Сил України на початку 2022 року, під час повномасштабного вторгнення Російської Федерації на територію України, нажаль у військах мали місце численні прояви дискримінації за ознакою статі, на мінімізацію і подолання яких і спрямована ця стаття.
