The article examines the role of non-governmental organizations in the field of information and legal support of social protection of the population. The main areas of their activities, in particular, information provision, legal support and public control, are highlighted. It is determined that such organizations play an important role in the processes of raising legal awareness of citizens, providing explanations on the mechanisms for obtaining social benefits, subsidies and other types of social assistance. Civic organizations also monitor the effectiveness of social programs and contribute to their improvement through interaction with government agencies. The author’s definition of the concept of “information and legal support of social protection of the population” is formulated, which is considered as a set of measures aimed at providing citizens with relevant legal information, providing legal assistance, developing and improving legislative initiatives in the field of social protection. The author outlines the importance of public organizations as an instrument of interaction between society and the State, which allows for a prompt response to social challenges, identifying problems and proposing effective mechanisms for their solution. It is emphasized that non-governmental organizations perform not only the function of disseminating information, but are also active participants in the legislative process, initiating changes in social legislation. It is noted that their activities contribute to strengthening social cohesion, creating effective models of social support and increasing the level of public trust in social institutions. Particular attention is paid to their legal education mission, which allows citizens not only to receive information about social rights, but also to actively use legal mechanisms for their realization. The author outlines the prospects for further research in the field of information and legal support of social protection, in particular, the issues of assessing the effectiveness of NGOs’ initiatives, analyzing their role in the development of the social protection system and finding optimal models of cooperation with government agencies. Research in this area will allow improving the mechanisms for ensuring the social rights of the population and will contribute to improving the effectiveness of social policy.

У статті досліджується роль громадських організацій у сфері інформаційно-правового забезпечення соціального захисту населення. Виокремлено основні напрями їхньої діяльності, зокрема інформаційне забезпечення, правовий супровід та громадський контроль. Визначено, що громадські організації відіграють важливу роль у процесах підвищення правової обізнаності громадян, надання роз’яснень щодо механізмів отримання соціальних виплат, субсидій та інших видів соціальної допомоги. Громадські організації також здійснюють моніторинг ефективності соціальних програм та сприяють їх вдосконаленню через взаємодію з державними органами. Сформульовано авторське визначення поняття «інформаційно-правове забезпечення соціального захисту населення», яке розглядається як комплекс заходів, спрямованих на забезпечення громадян актуальною правовою інформацією, надання юридичної допомоги, розробку та вдосконалення законодавчих ініціатив у сфері соціального захисту. Окреслено значення громадських організацій як інструменту взаємодії між суспільством і державою, що дозволяє оперативно реагувати на соціальні виклики, виявляти проблеми та пропонувати ефективні механізми їх вирішення. Наголошено, що громадські організації виконують не лише функцію поширення інформації, але й є активними учасниками законотворчого процесу, ініціюючи зміни у соціальному законодавстві. Зазначено, що їхня діяльність сприяє посиленню соціальної згуртованості, створенню ефективних моделей соціальної підтримки та підвищенню рівня довіри громадян до соціальних інститутів. Особливу увагу приділено їхній правопросвітницькій місії, що дозволяє громадянам не лише отримувати інформацію про соціальні права, але й активно використовувати правові механізми для їх реалізації. Окреслено перспективи подальших досліджень у сфері інформаційно-правового забезпечення соціального захисту, зокрема питання оцінки ефективності ініціатив громадських організацій, аналізу їхньої ролі в розбудові системи соціального захисту та пошуку оптимальних моделей співпраці з державними установами. Дослідження цього напряму дозволить вдосконалити механізми забезпечення соціальних прав населення та сприятиме підвищенню ефективності соціальної політики.
