Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyse the relation between high levels of anxiety in students in final year of Secondary Education (15-16 years) and their attentional resources, especially in those with selective attention or concentration. For this purpose, correlations between different aspects involved in attention, such as working speed, accuracy of cognitive processing, and the relation between speed and accuracy were tested. The Revised Children Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS), a selfreport test with dichotomous reply (yes/no); and the Attention test D2, based on visual stimulus discrimination, were applied to a sample of 75 individuals.
