How Collective Memories Are Formed: Considering an Interactionist Model of Collective Memories

Abstract
Namjera je ovog rada ocrtati interakcionistički model kolektivnih sjećanja koji bi komplementirao do sada dominantne semiotičke i institucionalne pristupe sjećanjima. Snaga semiotičkih i institucionalnih pristupa jest ponajprije u strukturnoj analizi objekata sjećanja i proizvodnje kolektivnih sjećanja od strane političkih elita i mainstream medija, no ti pristupi nailaze na poteškoće pri objašnjavanju uloge pojedinaca i njihova pregovaranja prikaza prošlosti koje dobivaju odozgo. Upravo tu do izražaja dolazi prednost interakcionističkog modela koji konceptualizira kolektivna sjećanja kao naracije prošlosti te u analizu uključuje i individualna vjerovanja i razi...
